Al-Azhar Scholarship Student Vetting Successfully Conducted
The National Muslim Council of Liberia (NMCL) is pleased to announce that the vetting and interview of applicants for the Al-Azhar University Scholarship was successfully conducted today, Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the headquarters of the National Muslim Council of Liberia.
We commend and congratulate all the participating students for their courage, commitment, and interest in pursuing higher education at Al-Azhar in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Bravo to all the students!
The vetting exercise was honored by the presence of Sister Nessrin Mohmoud, Assistant Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, whose participation added great value and significance to the process.
Applications are still open. The National Muslim Council of Liberia is still accepting applications from qualified applicants who wish to be considered for the Al-Azhar scholarship opportunity. The application deadline is Sunday, August 23, 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline expires.
