NMCL Leadership Pays Courtesy Visit to Egyptian Embassy in Monrovia
On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the Chairman of the National Muslim Council of Liberia (NMCL), Alhaji Abraham Fumbah Sherif, accompanied by members of his leadership and some Executive members, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt near Monrovia.
The delegation was warmly received by His Excellency Ahmed Abdelazeem Zeinhom Abdelshakour Farghaly, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Liberia.
During the engagement, the Ambassador expressed appreciation to the NMCL leadership for the visit and the opportunity to strengthen acquaintance and cooperation. The meeting featured fruitful discussions on areas of mutual interest, collaboration, partnership, and opportunities to further strengthen the longstanding relationship between the Egyptian Embassy and the Muslim community in Liberia.
The Chairman, on behalf of the National Muslim Council of Liberia, expressed sincere appreciation to His Excellency the Ambassador for the warm reception and for the cordial and constructive relationship that continues to exist between the Embassy of Egypt and the National Muslim Council of Liberia.
The NMCL looks forward to further strengthening this relationship and exploring new areas of partnership in education, Islamic affairs, youth development, scholarships, cultural exchange, and other initiatives that can contribute to the development and wellbeing of the Muslim community and Liberia as a whole.
