Monrovia, Liberia – January 22, 2024 – The inauguration of President Joseph Nyumah Boakai was held in a grand and colorful ceremony outside the Capitol Building in Monrovia. The event marked a significant moment in Liberia’s democratic journey, drawing together a host of national and international dignitaries, political leaders, and invited guests.
Among the specially invited groups was the National Muslim Council of Liberia, represented by key leaders of the Muslim community. In attendance were Imaam Salleh A. Kanneh, Head of the Body of Imaams; Haja Amna Sherif, Vice Chair for Women’s Affairs; and A.F. Kuku Reeves, Secretary General of the National Muslim Council of Liberia.
