Monrovia, Liberia – January 29, 2024 – The National Muslim Council of Liberia was in attendance as President Joseph Nyumah Boakai delivered his first State of the Nation Address at the Capitol Building in Monrovia.
This important constitutional event marked President Boakai’s first formal report to the nation since taking office on January 22, 2024. The presence of the National Muslim Council reflected the Council’s commitment to national dialogue and civic engagement, as well as its ongoing partnership with the Government of Liberia in fostering peace, unity, and development.
Council representatives joined other dignitaries, government officials, civil society leaders, and members of the diplomatic corps in listening to the President’s vision and plans for Liberia’s future.
