Muslim Community Observes AFL Intercessory Prayer in Redlight, Monrovia

Monrovia, Liberia – February 9, 2024 – In continued demonstration of Liberia’s cherished tradition of religious tolerance, the Muslim community held an intercessory prayer in honor of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Redlight, Ma Kebbeh Junction in Monrovia. This solemn event brought together Muslim soldiers, community members, and religious leaders to offer special prayers for the gallant men and women serving in the AFL, as well as for peace and prosperity in the country.

The intercessory prayer was led by Imaams and supported by the National Muslim Council of Liberia, which plays a key role in such national engagements as the umbrella organization for all Muslims in Liberia.

The event highlighted the integral role of Muslims in national service and unity, reaffirming the importance of religious inclusiveness across all sectors of the Liberian government.
